A photo shoot is new territory for me, what do I need to consider?
Your photo shoot will be a success if you are relaxed and show your natural side.
In addition, the following tips will help you prepare for your shoot:- Before your shooting, think about how you want your pictures to look like and tell the photographer your wishes. This way we guarantee you dreamlike photos exactly according to your taste.
- Your styling is best done directly before your shooting, either by yourself or by a person/service provider you trust. You are welcome to make minor corrections before the shooting. Mirrors are available in all our studios.
- Put together your favorite outfits before the shoot. During the shooting you can change your outfits in our changing room. Please note that the changing time is included in the shooting time.
- Accessories, such as rings, necklaces and scarves complete your individual look.

From how many years old can I do a photo shoot?
We have no minimum age for our shootings. Even the youngest are allowed in front of the camera. If you are not yet 18 years old, we would ask you to bring a parent or guardian to your photo appointment. Alternatively, we require a signed consent form from a parent or guardian. In addition, we can only offer nude and erotic shoots to customers of legal age.
Please note that also our smaller customers, as well as quadrupeds belong to the number of participants in the shooting. -
Can someone guide me?
You may certainly bring one person to your shoot to accompany you. Please note that sometimes our studios are very small and do not have the capacity to bring your entire family or your entire circle of friends. If you are under the age of 18, we would ask that you bring a parent with you to the appointment. All our shoots have a set maximum number of participants (see shoots); if you need to have one or more people in the photo besides yourself, we do not charge for that. -
Will you come to my home or to a location of my choice?
Of course, if you wish, we can also take photos at your home or at another location of your choice. You are welcome to ask our photographers, in a studio near you about the conditions. -
Can you take an iris photo shoot of a baby/toddler/pet?
Iris shooting depends on how calm you can already sit alone. We recommend a starting age between 4-6 years. You are welcome to ask your preferred studio if they could try an iris shot on your child. Iris shots of pets are unfortunately not possible. -
Is it possible to have biometric passport photos taken of a baby?
Our photographers are happy to take biometric passport photos of your baby. We recommend calling the studio beforehand to avoid long waiting times. -
Can I also use passport and application photos as a business customer?
Passport and application photos are aimed exclusively at private customers and are excluded for business customers. For the business sector, our special price packages apply. -
Why do I need commercial rights of use?
For photos that leave the private sphere, such as your own website or flyer, you need the commercial rights of use. Are you interested in using your photo shoot commercially? Talk to our staff directly on site. When you purchase the commercial rights of use, you will receive a note for the commercial rights of use on your receipt.
The full commercial rights of use are only transferred to one person as a contractual partner. For example, they only apply to self-employed persons and sole traders in the commercial sense. Companies please contact info@picturepeople-business.de for enquiries.

Do I necessarily have to make an appointment?
To avoid waiting times, we recommend that you make an appointment online or directly in your preferred studio. -
Can I pay with my EC card?
Yes, in all our branches of PicturePeople photo studios you can pay conveniently and cashless with your EC card. Of course, our photographers can also tell you where the nearest ATM is, if you prefer to pay cash. -
Are all images digitally included in the price?
The basic shooting fee already includes one image in 15x20cm as a printout and the same image as a digital file. (*Passport, application and iris shoots are excluded from this).
After the shooting you decide if you want to take more pictures and choose the most beautiful ones. You can see the prices online, as well as in our photo studios. For questions about our prices, you can also contact your favorite studio. -
Do children/babies have to pay for a shoot as well?
Every treasure that is photographed counts as a participant for us. -
Do four-legged friends count as participants?
That's right, every pet that gets photographed counts as a participant with us. Let's go to the animal shoots. -
Can I have private photos printed on a canvas with you?
For quality reasons, we can only work with our own photos from our shoots. -
What do I need to bring to the photo shoot?
To design your shooting according to your wishes and to get beautiful photos in the end, we ask you to bring your favorite outfits and accessories to the studio. You can change in the studio and also during the shooting your outfit again. Please note that the changing time is included in the shooting time. Your hair and nails are best styled at home; minor corrections can then be made in the studio. -
Do you also do event photography for graduation party or ABI ball etc.?
Yes, we also capture those special moments in life. Feel free to check out our business page and send your request to info@picturepeople-business.de. -
Do I bring my own outfits?
We do not have any outfits for you in our studios. For this, it is best to bring your own outfits in which you feel really comfortable. For families/couples, group outfits are also welcome. If you have any questions about the perfect outfit, you can always contact our photographers. -
I have not received my appointment confirmation email. What do I do now?
Feel free to contact your studio directly. Our photographers can help you with an appointment. -
How far in advance do I need to cancel my appointment?
If you can't make your appointment, please let us know at least 24 hours before the appointment. Simply call your photo studio. We will be happy to arrange a new date for your photo shoot together.
In case of no-show without a timely cancellation, we reserve the right to retain the shooting fee for your appointment. -
How long do I have to wait for my photos?
For private shoots, we print your favorite images, except for iris shots, immediately in the studio for you, so you can hold your results from the shoot directly in your hands. Depending on the order situation, this can take up to 60 minutes. For large format posters, canvases, business shots and iris images we need a little more time. Feel free to talk to your photographers before/after the shoot about processing time. -
What is image editing/retouching?
Retouching is an optional, professional post-processing of the images with the help of software. So small bumps or shadows on the photos can be easily made invisible. We do retouching immediately after your shoot, so you can take your photos with you after a few minutes. For more extensive retouching work, we need a little longer time. Generally, our prices do not include retouching, but you are welcome to request it from your studio if needed. -
Do I have to buy the pictures if I don't like them?
PicturePeople has a satisfaction guarantee. If you don't like your pictures after the shooting, you don't have to pay anything. We are happy to take new photos of you, just contact your photographer or send an email to sorry@picturepeople.de. -
In which format do I get my photos?
When you purchase our print options, we will print your photos for you in either 15x20 cm or 20x30 cm format. So you have your dream pictures in a nice size for framing and hanging. Passport and application photos you get depending on the offer in slightly smaller formats to meet the general standards. -
Can I also get just the pictures without prints?
Of course you can also purchase all images as JPEG files. The price for a single file is 29,99 € or you can choose one of our savings packages. -
Will it be cheaper if I bring a USB stick?
Unfortunately, we cannot use USB sticks or CDs/DVDs that you bring yourself. -
Can I reorder my photos afterwards?
Photos that have not been purchased are generally not stored with us, so unfortunately you can not reorder your photos. It's best to choose the pictures you really like directly after the shooting and take them home with you. -
Is there any way to save the photos?
No, we do not store your photos. -
Where can I download my pictures? Where can I find my password?
After your shooting you will receive an email with a link to your gallery. Under the link you will find all your photos and can download them in high resolution.
Sometimes the email for your personal gallery link/password ends up in your spam folder. If you don't find this email, contact your studio directly. -
My password does not work, what can I do?
It can happen that a space or a wrong capital letter sneaks in when entering the password. We recommend that you copy the password directly into the input field. If you can't log in, please contact your studio directly. -
How do I download the files?
Once you have arrived in your personal gallery, you have already reached the first step. Scroll down a little bit and you will find the button "Download". As soon as the file has been downloaded, you only need to unpack it with a ZIP opener of your choice and save it. We recommend to save the images on an external hard drive or similar, because the files will be automatically deleted from our server after the deadline.
If you have any questions, please contact your studio, they will be happy to help you. -
How long will my images be stored?
When you purchase your shots as a file, we will store your high-resolution images for 14 days so that you can download them at your leisure. After this period, the high-resolution images will be irrevocably deleted. The normal quality images will be irrevocably deleted by us one year after upload. If you need to delete your images before then, please contact your studio directly.

Where can I buy a gift card?
In any of your PicturePeople photo studios or on gutschein.picturepeople.de/. On our website you can choose between a physical gift card or a voucher as pdf-file. -
Where can I use the gift card?
You can redeem your gift card at any PicturePeople photo studio. -
Can I redeem vouchers at all studios?
Of course you can redeem the PicturePeople vouchers in all our studios. We recommend you to make an appointment in time, so that your shooting can take place on your desired date. -
What can I use Groupon vouchers for?
Groupon vouchers can only be redeemed for shoots for private customers. Shootings for business customers are excluded. -
With what amount of value can I load the PicturePeople gift cards?
Your card can be loaded with any amount between 1,00 € and 999,00 €. -
How long is my voucher valid?
Our company value vouchers, i.e. all vouchers purchased directly from PicturePeople with a desired amount, are basically valid for three years. The three years are calculated from the 31.12. of the year of issue. Example: If you bought your voucher in the middle of 2022, it is valid until 31.12.2025.
For all other promotional vouchers from us (Christmas-/Black-Friday-vouchers etc.) or e.g. Groupon-, the validity date mentioned on the voucher is valid. The appointment must have taken place by the validity date.
If you are unsure, you can also send us a picture of your voucher (front and back + voucher code). We can then tell you whether it can still be redeemed. -
How can I pay in the online store?
You have the choice between instant bank transfer, direct debit, Paypal, credit card or prepayment (on account). Please note that your order can only be processed after receipt of payment. If you want it to go quickly, you can also buy vouchers in a studio of your choice. -
What happens if I lose the gift card?
Your gift card is transferable. In case of theft, damage or loss, PicturePeople unfortunately cannot replace or block your card. We have to treat gift cards like cash. -
My gift card is damaged. Can the card still be redeemed?
As long as your gift card number is legible on the back, you can continue to redeem your gift card. -
Is there a limit to the number of gift cards I can purchase from PicturePeople?
You can buy as many tickets as you want.
Please note that promotional vouchers cannot be combined with other promotions. Promotion vouchers and value vouchers can be redeemed together. -
Can I withdraw the available balance?
No, the balance on your gift card cannot be cashed out. -
Can I recharge my gift card after purchase?
No, unfortunately you cannot reload your gift card. However, we will gladly issue you a gift card with a new balance. -
Do I need to keep my blank gift card?
No, you don't have to keep your blank card. -
Can I personalize my gift card with a greeting text?
Yes, you can personalize both the voucher card (after purchase) and the online voucher (upon purchase) with a greeting text. -
Can I return a gift card?
The card can only be returned if it was purchased through our website, has not yet been redeemed, and the return period of 14 days from the purchase of the gift card has not expired. You do not have to return a physical gift card. In this case, the balance of your card will be erased and you can destroy the card.
Unfortunately, we cannot take back gift cards purchased in our photo studios. However, since the cards are transferable, you are welcome to give them to your loved ones. -
I have not received my gift card after 5 business days.
Please send a copy of your order confirmation to info@picturepeople.de. We will check your order immediately and inform you about the current status. -
I have not received my voucher by email. What do I have to do?
Please send your key data by e-mail to info@picturepeople.de. Our colleagues will check the case as soon as possible.

When should we look for a wedding photographer?
Finding the right photographer for your wedding is very important, because his work will create lifelong memories of your big day. Therefore, you should also take care of a perfect offer in time. To make sure that we are still available on your desired date, we recommend that you contact us as soon as the date for your wedding ceremony is set. We will be happy to advise you by phone or in one of our studios and discuss all details with you. -
Wann erhalten wir unsere Hochzeitsfotos?
As a rule, you will receive the images within 1-2 weeks. If you have booked additional photo products or retouching work, the processing time may be somewhat longer. -
Wie viele Bilder bekommen wir?
You will receive all the pictures taken by us on the day of your wedding in an online gallery. The number of pictures may vary depending on the length of the assignment. The photographer in charge of your wedding will sort out the pictures beforehand so that you only receive the really great photos. Advantage of the app: You can share the pictures directly with your family and guests. -
Was kostet eine Hochzeitreportage?
We accompany your wedding photographically and ensure that all important and emotional moments are captured and remain forever in memory. Whether in the registry office, in the church or at the celebration, with us the wedding reportage costs 599€ for two hours, 1099€ for four hours and 2099€ for eight hours. Each additional hour costs 349€. The price includes a detailed preliminary discussion and all photos taken optionally in an online gallery. In addition, we offer many great extra services that you can find here on the website under Wedding Photos. -
Gibt es eine Mindest-Stundenzahl für Hochzeiten?
In principle, we offer wedding reportages from two hours. However, we recommend that you plan at least three hours so that there is enough time for you, your witnesses and families, as well as the entire wedding party to be photographed. Overall, the longer we are on location, the more souvenir photos you will get in the end. -
When do we have to pay for the wedding pictures?
We charge a deposit of 50% of the agreed price before your wedding. You can pay the rest when you collect the pictures from the studio afterwards. -
In which format do you receive the images?
You get all the photos we took on the day of your wedding as an online gallery. Of course, we also offer printing services and many great large formats and photo products. Just let us advise you. The nice thing about the gallery: You can share the pictures directly with your family and guests. -
Are all guests photographed?
In a reportage, we try to capture the most beautiful moments and emotions of your wedding and record them for eternity. Of course, we also take photos of the wedding party. However, we cannot guarantee that every single guest can be seen in a photo. We do, however, offer an exclusive guest book service where we take portraits of all the guests at your wedding, print them out immediately and stick them in your guest book. Then each guest can sign next to their picture. This way you get a really great memory of your big day. The guest book service costs 200€ once. -
Do we get the pictures in black and white or sepia?
We take a variety of different pictures during your wedding. Colour and black and white photos are always included. If you like special image effects, such as sepia, we are happy to post-process a few images afterwards. This service costs 100€ per 20 pictures. -
Werden alle Hochzeitsfotos bearbeitet?
In principle, no image editing or retouching is included in the price. However, minor imperfections or shadows are usually removed to make the photos even more beautiful. Of course we offer professional image editing of your wedding pictures. This service costs 100€ per 20 photos. -
What do we do in bad weather?
Of course we wish you perfect weather and lots of sunshine on your big day. As we know that this is unfortunately not always the case, we will move to a dry location for your pictures if it rains. The church or the registry office usually offer great motifs for your wedding portraits indoors. You can rely on the experience of our photographers, who will always find a beautiful backdrop for dreamlike pictures. -
What other offers are there in the area of wedding photography?
We have a variety of great offers for your wedding. In addition to the on-site wedding reportage, you can also have a photo shoot in one of our studios. This way you can create romantic couple pictures with perfect lighting. The wedding shooting in the studio costs 99,99€ and lasts about one hour. About 80 pictures will be taken, which you can then view on large monitors and choose the most beautiful ones. The price already includes a printed photo in 15x20 cm format. Can we do anything we want with the wedding photos afterwards or are there restrictions on how we can use them?
By purchasing the images, you receive from us the simple rights of use to your photos. This means you can use them in your private space without fear of violating our copyrights. -
Wo kann man PicturePeople für Hochzeiten buchen?
Basically, we photograph your wedding in the cities where we also have our studios. In addition, we offer weddings throughout Germany and Vienna. Our prices already include a journey of 30 kilometres from the nearest studio, each additional kilometre costs 0.50€. -
Can we get to know PicturePeople in advance?
Absolutely! We generally recommend a personal consultation in one of our studios. This way, all questions and details about your wedding can be clarified and you can see sample photos of our work. If you don't have the opportunity to visit us in person, we will also be happy to advise you in detail over the phone.
